Gommie’s is the sister company to the Neapolitan pizza restaurant known as Ippa Pizza, in Erie PA. For this project, our client needed packaging design for all of his products, that are all each distinct, but cohesive.
Currently, Gommie’s only has 3 products: Hot ‘Roni, Mootzarell, and ‘Za Slaw. Instead of asking for one logo to use across all products, our client asked us to create 3 logos. One for each product.
During ideation, our team split up to design a logo for each of the products. I worked on ideation for Hot ‘Roni, the spicy pepperoni product. To we didn’t overwhelm the client, we ended up submitting 2-3 logos per team member, with 16 final iterations. Here are some of my logos we sent to the client for review.
In the end, our client chose this logo by Nora Logue, and while she used her logo to design the other two product names, the rest of the team set off to design the packaging designs
Shown below are the 3 final packaged products:
In the end, this project gave me a lot of valuable experience in working with a client, as this project was one of my first ever client experiences. I learned how to work under an artistic supervisor and how to quickly and effectively provide and implement feedback.
