Burch Farms Country Market and Winery is a seventh-generation, family-owned farm that brings people together through family activities, weddings, events, and locally made goods like fresh baked treats and wine. Our goal was to create a fresh and functional brand identity that better represents the history and vitality of the business
Final Logo
Alt Marks
A big part of this project was designing a new logo. Their original logo was just a script B, so in some of our iterations, we made a collection of script B’s. However, they also love their market building, and wanted to have that in the logo. So we were able compromise by using both their favorite script B and a silhouette of their market building.
I mean I don’t blame them for loving their building. It’s really nice and has a pretty iconic shape.
When working on the deliverables, our team split up into groups of 2 to divide and conquer. One team for the rack card and posters, and one group for the menu designs.
The group I was in worked on menu designs, and I specifically worked on the Lunch Menu.
It took a lot of ideation to get to the final deliverable. We needed to be consistent and concise, without overloading the viewer for a quick and clean read.
In the end, this project gave me a lot of practice in working with clients of all ages, with varying levels of understanding. We had our struggles in the logo design, and some communication kerfuffles, but the final deliverables were certainly worth it.
