Short Films

A showcase of my personal animations developed through the years

Can We Keep It?

Out of all the forms of animation,frame-by-frame 2D is my favorite to do. Yes, it’s time consuming. Yes, its a LOT of moving parts. But it’s still my favorite. I feel like I have the most control with frame-by-frame. It’s so easy to squash and stretch. To breath life into a character. All it takes is a lot of dedication to your character designs, and a lot of time.

What is Fantasy?

What is fantasy, and why is it important? In this infographic project, I wanted to ask… why is fantasy so important, especially for developing minds? All assets in this film were hand drawn, in an effort to preserve and display a childlike wonder.

Motion Design

As an animator and graphic designer, I think it’s essential to understand motion design in this day and age. The majority of my motion graphics are done purely in Adobe After Effects, as is industry standard. And having a free student subscription to the Adobe Suite certainly didn’t hurt!

8 Spooky Principles

Take a ghostly float through the graveyard as you learn about 8 of the 10 principles of design. In my first every project using Adobe animate, I brought the principles to… well, not life, but close enough.

My junior film Can We Keep It was a character designer wonderland. My thought process for creature creation mainly consisted of: “what’s silly, funny, and doable?”

I took some inspiration from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, because the art style is so fun, silly, and whimsical. I think after making this film, more and more of my art was subconsciously inspired by this style.

Sketchbook Animations

Not every animation needs to be a whole film. Sometimes I get these little bursts of inspiration to have a little fun.
